چکیده

The wire reinforced cementitious matrix (WRCM) was used to improve the in-plane and out-of-plane performance of weak masonry assemblages. Six different types WRCMs were strengthen small-size assemblages understand role various parameters such as tensile strength welded mesh, compressive in influencing efficiency strengthening scheme. An experimental program consisting diagonal compression four-point bending test conducted evaluate (shear) (flexural) strengthened Two low-strength mortar; 1:6 cement-sand, mud mortar prepare specimens. A total 120 specimens with 40 each for flexure failure plane-parallel perpendicular bed joint prepared tested under quasi-static displacement control loading. Test results showed that WRCM scheme is effective can significantly enhance shear, flexural ductility This study illustrates also play an important contributing shear behavior masonry. Further, compared theoretical predictions estimated using available analytical models.

Flexure Toughness of Polymer Fiber-reinforced Cementitious Materials

In this article, the toughening effect of polymer fibers in cementitious materials is analyzed through an energy method. When a crack front encounters a fiber array, additional fracture work is required to overcome the barrier effect. The influences of fibers, matrix, and crack length on the critical energy release rate are collectively described by a single system parameter.

Code: 3.3.02 Analysis of Different Types of Cementitious-based Composites Used as Shear Strengthening System for Reinforced Concrete Beams

The global tendency to apply sustainable criteria in most of the productive fields and the limited durability and the pathologies that reinforced concrete elements suffer are aspects that explain the increasing necessity of strengthening this type of structures. The evolution of strengthening techniques has consisted in the development of new technologies that ease the application of the soluti...

Shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams with CFRP

The current paper reviews existing design guidelines for strengthening beams in shear with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and proposes a modification to Concrete Society Technical Report TR55. It goes on to present the results of an experimental programme which evaluated the contribution of CFRP sheets towards the shear strength of continuous reinforced concrete (RC) beams. A tot...

Strengthening of Concrete and Masonry Structures with Fiber Reinforced Polymers (frp)

Since the late 1980s, the civil engineering community has become interested in the application of Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) to the construction industry. These materials are comprised of very strong fibers and a resin matrix. The most popular application of FRPs has been in repair and rehabilitation of structures. In this technique, FRPs are bonded to the exterior surface of the structura...
